Hi, I’m Carrie
I am a registered and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. My previous work experience includes various community-based services, one of which was at a centre for women who have experienced trauma. I currently work in private practise offering both online and in-person sessions.
I am experienced working with trauma specifically domestic abuse, sexual violence and adults who have experienced childhood abuse. I aim to create a space of safety in the therapy for us to think about your experiences and feelings.
I also have extensive experience of working with sex workers/adult industry workers and understand that you may feel misunderstood and isolated which is compounded by societies stigma.
As a sex positive and kink aware therapist I appreciate the importance of listening and understanding your story as everyone is an individual with their own unique experiences. I regularly work with all relationship structures and people of all genders and sexualities.
Professional Bio
I am currently studying for my Professional Doctorate in Psychodynamic Counselling at the University of Essex. My qualifications also include:

In addition to the above-mentioned training, I continue to complete CPD’s regularly and have also had my own open-ended therapy. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and subject to their ethical code of conduct.
